Samsung bewijst leiderschap op het gebied van 3G en nieuwe introducties
Samsung houdt zich aan zijn woord. Een stortvloed aan nieuwe modellen is geintroduceerd voor de Europese markt. Bekijk ze hier allemaal!
Zoals elk jaar is er enorme stortvloed met nieuwe Samsung modellen voor het komende jaar. Samsung heeft voor dit jaar zowiezo al meer dan 20 modellen aangekondigd. Dit jaar wordt zeker het jaar van de 3G toestellen dat is een punt wat duidelijk wordt uit de informatie die Samsung vandaag aan de wereld laat zien.
Het aantal modellen dat hier besproken zal worden is negen waarvan er vier al bekend zijn op onze website. Dit zijn de Z310, Z510, Z540 en Z320i, die momenteel al verkocht wordt bij KPN als I-mode toestel.
De andere modellen zijn gloednieuw. Dit zijn de volgende modellen:

A new line-up of 3G handsets for the European market
(Barcelona, Spain, February 13, 2006) - Samsung Electronics has today demonstrated its commitment to technology innovation by showcasing ten new 3G mobile handsets at the 3GSM World Congress 2006.
This year, industry watchers expect to see 3G devices become more popular with consumers demanding a more intuitive end-user experience. To meet these demands, Samsung has unveiled a series of new handsets: the Z710, Z350, Z330, Z310, Z520, Z600, plus the world’s slimmest 3G bar-type handset the Z150 and the world’s slimmest 3G clamshell handset Z540 - all to be launched in Europe this year. Samsung is also showcasing two 3G handsets introduced at the end of 2005 -the Z510 and Z320i.
These innovative and sophisticated devices from Samsung confirm the company’s commitment to providing the ultimate 3G experience in a variety of designs - slide-up, clamshell and bar-type. Consumers desire choice when choosing the ideal handset and Samsung is introducing a full range of slim 3G phones to meet these demands. The new handsets integrate rich 3G features and media functionalities in a sleek, fashionable design.
Samsung has always maintained a good reputation for designing sleek and desirable mobile handsets but the launch of 3G services introduced new design challenges associated with packing new and powerful technologies into a compact device. The design of the mobile handset has never been more important and Samsung has welcomed this challenge with the launch of the world’s most compact and slimmest 3G handsets.
The demand for convergence in mobile phone functionalities means that handsets need to be a single device that includes a mobile phone, digital camera, personal organiser and MP3 player. The following range demonstrates that convergence:
- Z710: Samsung’s first 3.2 mega-pixel 3G phone, with unique swivel-LCD design, it is stylishly designed in black and silver. The camera also auto-focus function and features Bluetooth, FM Radio and MP3 as well.
- Z350: 3G handset adopting the slide-form factor, elegant like Samsung’s 2.5G hit models, D500 or D600, it is even very slim in design. It has a 1.3 mega-pixel camera, document viewer, external memory in a sleek design that fits into one’s hand.
- Z330: At 91x46x21mm, this is a very compact 3G handset weighing only 85g. It comes in an intenna folder for an elegant design with 1.3 mega-pixel camera and Bluetooth capability.
- Z310: Supports 3G as well as EDGE and features a 1 mega-pixel camera, document viewer, external memory in an intenna folder design.
- Z520: Includes a 2 mega-pixel camera, document viewer in a compact design. It also has a dedicated external music key for convenient interface. With 3D sound support, dual speaker and digital equalizer, the Z520 delivers high quality sound for music lovers.
- Z600: Samsung’s first smartphone with 3G function, it is based on Symbian OS and compact in size. It comes with 2 megapixel camera, BT multi-game feature, voice recognition and speakerphone functions.
- Z540: As a modernistic designed slim phone, it will attract fashion-conscious consumers. It holds 140MB of content and supports Bluetooth and USB transfers.
- Z510: With a wide 2.2-inch QVGA screen, it displays crisp high-speed video streaming clips. It also includes MP3 playback functionality, allowing users to listen to 3D sound quality music content anywhere and at anytime.
- Z320i: This stylish UMTS i-mode phone offers bigger user memory (120M), dual speakers, and various types of multimedia features to boost customer’s multimedia experience.
